| The safety of our site operatives, site personnel
and the public is of paramount importance to Coltman. We are
continually looking at ways to reduce the risks on site and
to build on our good reputation on safety matters.
Coltmans Qualified Health & Safety Manager will
advise on safety matters and will monitor the day to day effectiveness
of our health and safety arrangements.
Design stage considerations are made by our designers to
reduce risks during the lifting, placing and handling of the
precast concrete. Designers carry out a designers hazard and
risk assessment and work to CDM procedures set out in the
Coltman CDM Manual.
All site gangs are in possession of a Coltman Site Fixers
Manual. All work is carried out to site safety procedures
included in this manual and in strict accordance with the
job specific Coltman method statement and risk assessment.
Regular safety meetings are held with the Coltman Site Foremen
to establish and maintain effective safety procedures. Site
safety inspections and toolbox talks are also carried out
to monitor our safety performance on construction sites.
