Planning, Method Statement, Risk Assessment

Each site will be visited by a Contracts Supervisor (CPCS Appointed Person BS7121) who will make an assessment of the site conditions and prepare a written Method Statement and Risk Assessment including a Crane Schedule and Lift Plan.


Coltman has its own modern fleet of Articulated vehicles for deliveries anywhere in the country. Rigid vehicles can be provided if access to a site is in any way restricted.


All members of our site installation teams have the appropriate CSCS and CPCS cards.
This includes:-


Coltman are committed to ensuring that their site operatives are fully trained in all aspects of site installation. We are now training all site fixers in accordance with the new National Precast Flooring Training Scheme which was recently introduced by the Precast Flooring Federation as the industry standard for training of precast concrete installers.

It is the responsibility of Coltman’s customer to ensure that the bearing capacity of the ground is sufficient to withstand the outrigger loadings imposed on it by the crane. If required/requested by Coltman’s customer Coltman can supply various crane mat configurations over and above the standard crane mats carried by the crane, all of which can significantly reduce the outrigger loadings.
